From Bolzano to Innsbruck, Austria |

Alexander: Today we rose fairly early and travelled by bus to Innsbruck from Bolzano, crossing the Austrian border and traveling deeper into the Alps in the process. The rocky Italian mountains populated sparsely by foliage and densely by Mediterranean-style villas gave way to Alpine cabins and sharp mountains covered with aspen and fir trees, or in the case of open plains, a dense carpet of green grass. In Innsbruck we visited a Christmas market near the river in the old town. We saw notable places like Emperor Maximillian's Golden Roof, and the Golden Eagel inn.
