GENOVA WEATHER FAMILY DAY

Lastin: So today we travel by train to the seaside in Genoa. Where we enjoyed your gelato for the first time, and explore the shops in Italy.

Andrea: We spent the day roaming Genoa. Going into different cathedrals and palaces. This cathedral in the picture is San Lorenzo's Cathedral

Alex: Went to the “Zoo” with Alberto today. Their zoo’s don’t really have as much protection as ours do with was a big change for me.

River: Today I started off the day with a later start. After waking up Laila and I at Pasta and red sauce for lunch. We left the house around 2pm to meet up with other from the group, and spent a few hours by the coast line which was extraordinarily beautiful. After that we proceeded the park and went for a walk full of breathtaking scenery. Once at the park we played hide and seek with the Italians, it was really fun. Next we went walking through the city and got hamburgers at a small restaurant. We walked down the road to find a place to eat, and could some benches outside. It was very cold but I had a lot of fun nonetheless. The rest of the evening we spend walking around the city and going into small shops. Overall I had an amazing day. Gavin: Today we visited the Gropalla Tower, or Torre del Fleno, or Tower of Wheat. They used wheat and burned it from the top of the tower to indicate that enemies were approaching from Africa in WW2. Some of the walls had cut outs for rifles and such; the look out points were very small and cramped, along with a very small spiral staircase not meant for tall people.
