Bolzano - Bozen

Archeological Museum

Photoscan of Ötzi

Morning: tour of city and the Archeological Museum in Bozen

After lunch, students participated in small groups in a Scavenger Hunt through Bozen. They had questions in German; they had to collaborate with Italian German learning students in English to do this project. They had to interview people in cafes or on the street to get the answers. A map guided them and the directions of pedestrians. They had lots of fun!

In Bozen/Bolzano, Italian students had short presentations prepared for us about the various places in this wonderful town.

Our students are definitely NOT starving... they always find foods to eat....

..... and souveniers to buy!
or hot chocolate to drink...
This is the mummy of the 5300 year old iceman, Ötzi, who got killed in the Ötztal Alps. He was covered by ice and snow, a glacier, until his discovery in 1981. He has been examined numerous times and so have all his articafts. This year, he was reconstructed to how he might have looked like based on his bone and muscle structure.
