I imagine that there are quite a few entries that you are having to go over to choose the twenty participants you think are right to be in Italian Exchange IX.  Many students are probably not thinking much of the trip.  This trip and host are very serious matters and should not be taken as a time to fool around or goof off.  I understand that this is going to be treated as a high school course with a final and presentation of a credit in return.  A hard working student sees this as an opportunity to learn and succeed.

To participate in Italian Exchange IX would be an honor.  I have worked very hard this past year to keep my grades and attendance at their best.  I want to participate because I think it would be a most delightful experience.  To be placed in a strange environment for three weeks is a very good thing to happen to someone.  It teaches them that not everyone is the same, and it helps them understand how another feels in a different country.  I believe that participating in this program could help me throughout life's fulfilling journey.  When I first heard about the Italian Exchange Program, I was eager to learn more and have become very interested ever since.

This program could benefit my being a student at Hampshire High in many ways.  I could gain more respect for other students and for teachers.  As an individual I could gain a sense of responsibility.  Being in the Italian Exchange Program is a huge responsibility.  I am going to learn some basic principles of life, for example, I am going to learn the value of money.  This trip is going to cost a lot of money, but I am willing to make some major sacrifices to go.  My sister had the opportunity to become part of an exchange program when she was in high school.  She said she regrets not going and wishes now that she would have made a wiser choice.  This trip can make me a better global and American citizen.  I think a person should be very trustworthy to do this, and I believe that I am a trustworthy person.

At my home, I do a lot of things.  I have chores and tasks that are to be done before I have any free time.  I have animals that I must take care of and some are a big responsibility.  In my free time, I enjoy doing a lot of things.  I like music, dancing, playing video games, shopping, and other various activities.  I love to read, write stories, and draw.  I seem to do those three a lot.  I watch television a little, but I prefer watching movies instead of TV shows.  Movies just seem to catch my attention more.  I love horses and have two of my own.  Along with them, I have a wide variety of different animals.  We even have White-tailed Deer that come into our backyard every evening.  There aren't many things I don't like to do, and I am always up to try something different whether it be a food, activity, or something else.

In case you want to know about my personality I'll tell you a little about it.  I think that I am a very nice and caring person.  I can never do anything mean or disrespectful to someone/something.  If I do, then I have to apologize or I will never forgive myself.  Once I asked people to describe me in one word and these were a few of the most common answers: trustworthy, friendly, caring, fun, nice, amusing, smart, creative, lovable, interesting.  The list goes on but I have limited space.  A lot of people say that I am a person whom is very hard for you to be mad towards.  I always make people laugh, and that is one thing people love the most about me.

The Italian Exchange IX will be a very exciting experience for both parties.  I believe that this trip and host will benefit me in many ways.  If I don't get chosen, then there is always next year to try again.  I would like to go both years, but people can't have everything that they want.  As I said before, participating in the Italian Exchange IX would an honor and a most exciting experience.  Thank you for your time.
